It is the financial strength of the party issuing the guarantee that defines its quality. That strength is evidenced by the balance sheet of the issuer and the rating assigned to the issuer by independent agencies such as Standard & Poor’s or A.M. Best. Such ratings make it easier for beneficiaries to assess the quality of the company issuing the guarantee.
In markets where Liberty Mutual Surety is not represented, we will, where necessary, use fronting companies that are well known in their local markets and whose guarantees are accepted without question. These in turn issue a guarantee to your beneficiary once we have issued a guarantee to them.
